Casestory: Stroomverbruik van een server / 24/7 computer!
Staat u wel een stil bij het energieverbruik van uw computer? Als u nu een computer heeft met een wat oudere Pentium 4 processor (deze staan bekend om het hoogste energieverbruik) dan kan het heel goed zijn dat deze 200 Watt vermogen verbruikt. Moderne lekker snelle MSI Based DUO CORE BASIC PC voor een habbekrats, nu voor maar 215 euro ipv 252 euro! Met 160GB harddisk, 1 GB Geheugen en Double Layer DVD branderl!! Deze PC heeft alles: een supersnelle processor, 128 MB VGA (shared), LAN, 5.1 geluid en 4 x USB!
Waarom wij in de titel van deze computer "Sneller dan 2 x 3,4 ghz" hebben ingevuld? Omdat de processor in deze mooie computer echt nog sneller is dan de oudere Pentium D(ual Core) 3,4 ghz! "Maar waarom is de KLOKSNELHEID dan toch maar 2 x 1,6 ghz?" zult u vervolgens vragen. Dat komt omdat de architectuur van deze nieuwere processoren grotendeels gelijk is aan de veel duurdere Core2 Duo en fundamenteel anders dan de oudere pentium IV en Pentium D (dual core) processoren en daarom een stuk sneller, terwijl de kloksnelheden een stuk lager liggen! Bovendien zijn deze processoren een stuk zuiniger met Energie!

Staat u wel een stil bij het energieverbruik van uw computer? LET OP: laat u niet misleiden door de lage klokfrequentie van deze processor; de architectuur van deze nieuwere processoren is grotendeels gelijk aan de veel duurdere core 2 duo en fundamenteel anders dan de oudere pentium IV en Pentium D (dual core) processoren, en daarom een stuk sneller!
